Job summary

Pacific West Site Services, Inc. is seeking a Custodial Lead II to oversee cleaning operations across multiple client sites in Kentucky. The role requires hands-on janitorial work, plus guidance to custodial staff and adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of related experience, a high school diploma, and relevant certifications. You will drive equipment, manage supplies, and support the Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training to maintain high-quality

Job Description:

Job Overview

The Custodial Lead II will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the areas assigned and provides some work direction to custodial staff.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Track and maintain supply inventory
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor
• Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and supplies
• Correct at risk behavior and report to the supervisor immediately
• Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement
• The ability to drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities may be necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Education and/ or Experience:

• High school diploma / GED required
• At least 1-year related experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• CPR/AED/First Aid certification
• A valid driver's license may be required for this position based on business needs. Employees required to drive as part of their job duties must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet company driving eligibility requirements.
• Completed all safety and task training certification
• May be required to be forklift certified

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
