Job summary

Pacific West Site Services, Inc. is seeking a Custodial Lead to oversee cleaning operations in our facilities in Abilene, Texas. You will perform janitorial duties, supervise custodians, and ensure safety and quality standards are met on a daily basis.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to train staff, operate cleaning equipment, and manage supplies. This full-time role offers steady shifts from Mon-Fri with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Follow the daily schedule and assist the supervisor.
• Provide direction and assistance to custodians as directed.
• Assist in scheduling and training staff as needed.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair.
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Track and maintain supply inventory.
• Assist in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections.
• Report incidents and hazards to supervisor.
• Report personnel and customer issues to supervisor.
• Monitor PPE use and supplies.
• Provide recommendations for corrective action.

Custodial Lead

Job Overview

The Custodial Lead will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the areas assigned and provides some work direction to custodial staff.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Track and maintain supply inventory
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor
• Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and supplies
• Correct at risk behavior and report to the supervisor immediately
• Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement

Qualification

Education and/ or Experience: High school diploma / GED required. At least 1-year related experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPR/AED/First Aid certification . May be required to have a valid driver's license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
