Job summary

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) seeks a Director of Curriculum Programs, Operations to lead the training curriculum across Operations. You will design, develop, implement, and manage curriculum development processes to support current and future work practices.

Collaborating with business partners and the training school, you will ensure competency-based programs align with policies, track effectiveness, and establish standards for content, tools, and assessment.

Qualifications

• Assess training needs, design and develop training content, and evaluate effectiveness.
• Lead curriculum development using ADDIE methodologies.
• Collaborate with other departments to align training needs with operational practices.
• Develop instructor development curricula and support instructors.
• Oversee content updates to address current and future organizational needs.
• Establish standards for training development tools, templates, and methods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee curriculum development and ensure alignment with policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with MBTA departments to align training needs with operational methodology.
• Create engaging content using modern learning technologies (eLearning, blended learning).
• Partner with Operations Training leadership to support instructor development.
• Monitor and report on the implementation and impact of training.
• Set quality standards for all training materials and processes.
• Supervise internal and external curriculum development resources.
• Lead departmental training priorities and coordinate stakeholder meetings.
