Job summary

Excel Academy Charter Schools is seeking a Dean of Curriculum and Instruction (DCI) to drive curricular and instructional efficacy across our campuses. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of five years’ teaching experience is required; experience in a high-performing, urban public charter or district school is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated efficacy in raising academic achievement for historically under-served students.
• Ability to promote rigorous classroom instruction and culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular feedback to teachers on effectiveness and coaching to meet Excel’s instructional goals.
• Design and deliver professional development to strengthen instructional practices across the school.
• Monitor and support teachers to ensure alignment with MA Curriculum Frameworks.
• Lead the instructional program and ensure accurate data use to improve student outcomes.
• Manage student standardized testing and analyze results to drive improvements.
