Job summary

Gestalt Community Schools is seeking a Dean to be a key member of the campus leadership team, partnering with the principal to advance the instructional program. You will support teachers and scholars through coaching, training, and data-informed practices to raise student achievement.

Responsibilities include leading PLCs, implementing CCSS/ACT standards, and guiding the rollout of GCS curriculum frameworks within the school community.

Qualifications

• Tennessee Teaching and/ or Admin License is required.
• 4+ years of teaching experience at Level 4-5 with demonstrated gap-closure competency.
• Ability to manage several projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience presenting and working with adult teachers; knowledge of adult learning theory.
• Strong content knowledge and teaching pedagogy; knowledge of GLOE & Curriculum Frameworks, CCSS and ACT standards.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate teacher understanding and implementation of CCSS and ACT standards through school-wide PLCs.
• Lead adoption of GCS GLOE & Curriculum Frameworks via training and feedback.
• Provide coaching to teachers to gradually release instructional responsibilities.
• Analyze classroom practice through observations, data, and student work.
• Give clear, direct feedback based on data and practice analysis.
• Coordinate and deliver professional development sessions for staff.
