Job summary

Edinburg CISD is seeking a Curriculum Assistant to implement and support district curriculum designs and special funded programs aligned to student needs. The role reports to the Campus Principal and requires TEA certification, classroom teaching experience, and a mid-management or principal certificate.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification requirements and classroom teaching experience are required.
• Must hold TEA certification or be in compliance with TEA requirements.
• Mid-Management or Principal certificate is required.
• Three years of classroom teaching experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing State Bilingual, Title I Regular, Title I Migrant and special funded programs.
• Provide technical assistance and program direction for core curriculum and supplemental programs.
• Review and compile federal monthly reports and PEIMS reports.
• Maintain clear communication between campus principal and teachers.
• Support observations, conferences, and model/demonstration teaching to help teachers and students.
• Identify curricular problems and inform the campus principal with proposed solutions.
• Advise teachers on instructional strategies and adapt teaching techniques as needed.
• Utilize current assessment data to improve instructional delivery.
• Provide timely oral and written communication with staff, parents, and the community.
• Assist in supervising students in after-school programs and trainings.
