Job summary

Meijer Inc. seeks a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders, delivering a smooth, friendly pickup experience from start to finish. You’ll help drive loyalty by accurately fulfilling orders, greeting customers, and maintaining positive relationships with store teams.

We value a service mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Prior retail or cashier experience is preferred, and the role may involve lifting and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized and dependable.
• Process-driven with ability to follow procedures efficiently.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable service at the curbside pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet each customer with a courteous attitude (in person and on the phone) and respond to questions.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, team members, and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select items, scan/verify, and bag items using bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep curbside area clean and ready for next pickup.
• Support other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
