Job summary

Meijer in the United States is seeking an energetic, service-focused team member to support daily operations, engage customers, and uphold store standards across departments. You’ll help with checkout, shelf replenishment, and training new teammates while delivering friendly, efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to provide the best possible shopping experience.
• Communicate with team and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed sales goals and maintain standards.
• Support training new teammates and cross-training high-potential talent.
• Assist with department scheduling to improve engagement and service.
• Ensure product freshness and proper rotation and dating policies.
• Lead in safety, compliance with food safety standards, and 200% accountability.
• Oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product displays.
• Foster Meijer culture and inclusion across the team.
• Operate register and handle cash as needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories to support goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments.
