Job summary

Golden State Foods is seeking a Cup Machine Operator for 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM) to run multiple packaging lines, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, and keep accurate logs. Role includes changeovers, minor troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment cleanliness.

You will load materials, monitor weights, document production data, and follow COP/CIP and lockout/tagout procedures to uphold food safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 months manufacturing experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends.
• Attention to safety and accuracy in packaging.
• Basic math and written logs proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate 6+ packaging systems (W25-1/2, Cryovac, L24, BIB, 12-up, 6-up fillers).
• Load film carts and rolls correctly; monitor and adjust for continuous operation.
• Select appropriate packaging materials (boxes, labels, date coding).
• Adjust machine settings to maintain target product weights.
• Execute standard changeovers with team members to limit downtime.
• Perform minor mechanical troubleshooting independently.
• Document production data (logs, downtime, metal detection).
• Clean, rinse, sanitize equipment using COP/CIP methods.
• Follow safety protocols including lockout/tagout; identify emergency stops and pinch points.
• Maintain compliance with all food safety standards.
