Job summary

MadTree Brewing’s Alcove - OTR in Cincinnati seeks an Assistant Kitchen Manager to support kitchen operations, leadership during service, and administrative tasks including inventory and scheduling. You will mentor the team, uphold standards, and help deliver remarkable guest experiences while living our values across the kitchen.

The role offers a compensation range of $45,000–$59,000 with potential for additional variable compensation and benefits such as 401(k) and mental health support.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• 2+ years of kitchen leadership, inventory management, training, and development (with teams 20+) in a high-volume ($5M+) restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise kitchen operations during service, ensuring quality, efficiency, and standards.
• Train, coach, and develop team members with onboarding and performance feedback.
• Manage invoices, inventory, and ordering to control costs.
• Collaborate with FOH, events, and bar teams to ensure seamless service.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation across stations.
• Support Kitchen Manager with administrative tasks and seasonal menu changes.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards are upheld during all shifts.
