Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a Project Manager - Cultural Resources to join our Cultural Resources team in Jacksonville, FL. The Project Manager will manage client relationships, supervise staff, win and execute projects, and lead all aspects of project implementation.

This is a regular, full-time salaried role based out of our Jacksonville, FL office and reports to the Cultural Resources Team Lead. Travel to project sites and regulatory consultations will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field.
• Four years in Cultural Resource Management or environmental consulting, including two managing projects.
• Two years in supervisory capacity, field or office.
• Demonstrated expertise in federal, state, and local cultural resources laws/regulations.
• Project management across varied project types, regions, and agencies.
• Ability to travel and perform fieldwork for long hours.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass vehicle background screening.

Responsibilities

• Leads and/or assists with a portfolio of successful projects from start to finish.
• Implements SWCA Project Management, Quality, and Safety programs.
• Develops proposals, goals, scopes, plans, schedules, KPIs, invoices, and budgets.
• Coordinates project teams and resources to meet quality, schedule, and budget.
• Communicates status, schedules, scope changes, and budget updates clearly to stakeholders.
• Monitors progress, assesses risks, and revises scope/schedule/budget as needed.
• Maintains consultative relationships with clients, regulators, and external stakeholders.
• Follows regulations and company standards; performs related work as assigned.
• Provides technical oversight and quality review for cultural resources investigations and reports.
• Mentors staff and supports team growth and project success.
