Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants seeks a Project Manager - Cultural Resources for the Jacksonville, FL area to lead a growing Cultural Resources Program. You will manage client relationships, supervise staff, win and execute projects, and oversee all aspects of project implementation.

We value experience in federal/state/local cultural resources law, strong communication, and the ability to travel for fieldwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field.
• 4 years in Cultural Resource Management or environmental consulting, incl. 2 years managing projects.
• 2 years in supervisory capacity, field or office.
• Demonstrated expertise in federal, state, and local cultural resources laws and regulations.
• Project management across diverse project types and regions with various agencies.
• Ability to travel and conduct fieldwork for long hours on projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass Motor Vehicle background screening.

Responsibilities

• Leads/assists with a portfolio of successful projects from start to finish.
• Implements PM, Quality, and Safety programs and promotes collaboration.
• Develops proposals, scopes, plans, schedules, KPIs, invoices, and budgets.
• Manages project teams and resources to meet milestones and budgets.
• Communicates status, schedules, scope changes, and budgets to clients and stakeholders.
• Monitors progress, assesses risks, and revises scope/schedule/budget as needed.
• Maintains consultative relationships with clients, regulators, and external stakeholders.
• Follows regulations, standards, and specifications.
• Provides technical oversight and quality review for cultural resources work.
• Coordinates with clients, agencies, Tribes to support project execution.
• Mentors and guides cultural resources staff.
