Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Project Manager – Cultural Resources to lead a portfolio of cultural resources projects, supervise staff, manage client relationships, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires knowledge of federal, state, and local cultural resources laws, willingness to travel for fieldwork, and the ability to develop proposals, scopes, plans, and budgets with strong communication and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field.
• Four years of experience in Cultural Resource Management or environmental consulting, including two years managing projects.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in federal, state, and local cultural resources laws and regulations.
• Project management experience including multi-region projects and regulatory coordination.
• Ability to travel and conduct fieldwork for long hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or assist with a portfolio of successful projects from start to finish.
• Develop proposals, goals, scopes, plans, schedules, KPIs, invoices, and budgets.
• Manage project teams and resources to meet quality, schedule, and budget milestones.
• Communicate status, risks, and scope changes to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain consultative relationships with clients, regulators, and other external stakeholders.
• Provide technical oversight and mentorship to cultural resources staff.
