Job summary

Hersheypark Entertainment Complex in Hershey, PA is seeking a Swing Cook to support Sous Chefs with prep, inventory, and sanitation standards. You will supervise culinary staff, maintain par levels, and help develop new menu items for events.

This full-time position offers park perks, competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and paid time off. A Culinary Arts certificate and at least two years of kitchen experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related Commercial Kitchen experience.
• Proficient cooking techniques and knife skills.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items according to prep sheets and recipes with consistency.
• Maintain mise en place and station organization during service.
• Assist with training new staff and mentor interns.
• Lead staff by coaching, delegating and supporting culinary teams.
• Suggest and implement improved kitchen procedures.
• Provide direction in the absence of a Sous Chef.
• Collaborate on new menu development and event catering updates.
• Ensure orders, staffing, and special requests are communicated for events.
• Label, date, rotate, and maintain safe, sanitized work areas.
• Support duties of utility/dish and warehouse personnel.
