Jaybird Senior Living is seeking a Culinary Coordinator to lead a kitchen team and deliver high-quality dining for residents. You will oversee menu planning, staff training, and administrative operations while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role involves developing menus, supervising cooks, managing budgets, and maintaining inventories. A culinary degree is preferred with strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to serving the elderly.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for large groups and leading a culinary team.
• Strong leadership and supervision abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HIPAA-like compliance for care facilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and inventories effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop schedules and supervise Cooks and Culinary Assistants.
• Conduct trainings and performance reviews.
• Plan menus to minimize waste and maintain quality.
• Cook up to 4 days per week and adjust the menu.
• Maintain storage, inventories, and supplies; perform annual counts.
• Order food within budget and perform cost analysis.
• Ensure sanitation and safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with emergencies and support staff and committees.
• Report unsafe conditions and adhere to policies.
