Job summary

MBH The Meadows of Texas in Princeton, TX is seeking a Culinary Specialist for on-call meal service. You will prepare food, maintain kitchen safety, and ensure sanitation standards in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include recording temperatures, stocking supplies, handling paperwork, and coordinating with staff. Requires GED or HS diploma, Serve Safe or Food Handler Card, and at least two years of food production experience. English communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years food production experience required.
• Food Handlers Card or Serve Safe Certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Maintains kitchen area and equipment in a clean and organized manner following kitchen cleaning scheduled and standards set by the Health Department.
• Records temperatures on kitchen appliances.
• Maintain food temperature record log.
• Assures that all pertinent paperwork is completed per department protocol.
• Maintain order lists for items that may be needed for next food delivery.
• Receive and stock incoming supplies.
• Ability to converse in English with others to give, take and process information; extensive use of telephone.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, multi-task, coordinate projects and record/transcribe general and specific meeting minutes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Communicate with other staff to relay concerns and observations involving patient safety.
