Job summary

Ayden Healthcare of Wauseon is seeking a Cook for our Long Term Care Facility to prepare and serve meals per menus and recipes while adhering to dietary requirements and state/federal regulations.

You will manage portions, ensure proper food safety, and maintain accurate records. The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to communicate with residents, families, and staff to support quality resident meals.

Qualifications

• Two years of applicable experience preferred.
• Must meet local health regulations including background checks and reference inquiries.
• Serv Safe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals according to the menu plan and regulatory requirements.
• Manage portion control and ensure proper preparation of foods to meet individual needs.
• Demonstrate close attention to detail.
• Demonstrate organizational skills.
• Maintain working knowledge of regulatory requirements for food prep, serving, delivery and storage.
• Maintain kitchen safety and infection control principles.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, facility staff and external contacts.
