University Housing in Champaign, IL seeks an Extra Help Culinary Worker III to support Dining Services. Under supervision you will perform moderately complex cooking and baking, prepare for special diets, and help maintain quality, sanitation, and service standards.

You will assist in planning production, fill worksheets, train student workers, and serve foods as required. The role requires high school diploma and 1 year related experience; ANSI food handler certification may be required on hire

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year (12 months) of related work experience preferred.
• Food Handler Training Certification may be required on hire or during training.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook meats, fish, gravies, soups, sauces, vegetables, cereals, and other foods.
• Prepare foods for special diets from RD-approved recipes.
• Maintain quality, appearance, sanitation, and quantities on serving lines.
• Assist in controlling food waste and utilize just-in-time cooking methods.
• Wrap, label, and plan re-use of leftovers for storage.
