Job summary

Osprey Village in Florida is seeking a Utility Aide to support dining services on campus. The role involves food preparation, dishwashing, sanitation, and handling receiving and storage of supplies under the supervision of the Executive Chef.

You will assist with meal prep, portion control, maintain sanitation, manage dishwashing zones, and help set up or break down resident events. High school diploma or GED and 1–2 years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED is required.
• 1–2 years' experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Fluent English in reading, writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Executive Chef / Directory of Dietary Services with inventory calculations.
• Attends to kitchen spills quickly and keeps floors clean.
• Assists in preparation of meals and manages portion control and diet requirements.
• Follows sanitation programs and schedules including cleaning and inspections.
• Keeps food items properly stored and labeled at safe temperatures.
• Assists with receiving, inspection and storage of supplies.
• Removes trash from kitchen areas and manages garbage disposal sites.
• Washes, scrubs and dries dishes, utensils, and cooking pots and pans.
• Maintains dishwashing equipment and ensures chemicals are used correctly.
• Transports dishes back to main kitchen for cleaning.
• Sets up and breaks down resident events as assigned.
