Job summary

The Claiborne Senior Living is seeking an experienced Culinary Services Director to lead all aspects of our dining operations for residents. This hands-on leadership role focuses on delivering nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment.

Ideal candidates will own outcomes, maintain high quality, and uphold our culture-driven approach while partnering with clinical, operations, and activities teams to enhance resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of management experience in food service, hospitality, senior living, or healthcare.
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of nutritional guidelines and special diets in food service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all dining services operations including food quality, service, sanitation, and safety.
• Develop menus that meet residents' nutritional needs and preferences.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal food service regulations.
• Recruit, train, schedule and supervise dining services staff.
• Manage inventory and budget, maintain clean dining and kitchen spaces.
• Collaborate with Activities to plan events and themed meals.
• Communicate with residents and families to address feedback.
• Drive continuous improvements in service standards and dining experience.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement menus that meet residents’ nutritional needs, preferences, and special diets
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal food service, sanitation, and safety regulations
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise dining services team members
• Manage food and supply inventory while adhering to budget guidelines
• Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming dining areas and kitchen spaces
• Partner with the Activities team to plan special events and themed meals
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to address feedback and concerns
• Monitor resident satisfaction and implement improvements as needed
