The Oaks at Brownsburg is seeking a dedicated Culinary Services Cook to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for our residents in a well-organized, sanitary dining environment. You will support the Culinary Services Director and contribute to efficient dining operations across shifts.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent and a Food Service Sanitation certificate, plus experience handling large-volume meal preparation and basic supervisory tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Food Service Sanitation certificate required or per state/local requirements.
• Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, and communicate effectively.

Responsabilités

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in a timely and sanitary manner.
• Assists in maintaining an organized, efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains dining service standards for residents, including service delivery and cleanliness.
• Cleans after preparation and service; maintains work area and equipment.
• Ensures leftovers are properly stored and labeled.

Culinary Services Cook Responsibilities Include

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
