Job summary

The Woodlands of Columbus is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to join our dining team in Columbus, OH. You will plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for residents, while maintaining clean and organized dining areas and following safety standards.

Responsibilities include supporting the Culinary Services Director, handling multiple tasks, and delivering excellent resident service. Experience with large-scale meal prep and teamwork is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience with volume meal prep and serving for large groups.
• Supervisory experience preferred with ability to read recipes and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining an efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services, including service delivery, customer service, and cleanliness.
• Clean after preparation and service; maintain work area and equipment.
• Ensure leftovers are properly labeled, dated, and stored.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
