Job summary

The Residence of Chardon, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to join our team. You will plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals with attention to quality, safety, and resident satisfaction.

Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining an organized dining services operation. Responsibilities include preparing meals for assigned shifts, ensuring cleanliness, labeling leftovers, and delivering friendly service while adapting to flexible shifts and a

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience in volume meal preparation for large groups.
• Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to Residents including service delivery and cleanliness of dining room and kitchen.
• Cleans after preparation and service; cleans work areas, pots and equipment.
• Ensures leftovers are labeled, dated and stored properly.

Culinary Services Cook Responsibilities include:

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
