Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is hiring for a part-time food service assistant based at the Oak Creek campus. You will perform set-up and preparation of food and beverages, assist with cashiering, dishwashing, and general kitchen duties.

Standard hours are 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, for up to 19 hours per week across a 43-week academic year. You will follow recipes, maintain sanitation, help with catering, and support faculty, staff, and students.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of related food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist and prepare customer orders (eggs, grill, fryer).
• Follow recipes from electronic database.
• Perform food prep: cleaning, peeling, cutting, mixing ingredients, sandwich preparation.
• Prepare food for distribution and maintain serving lines.
• Provide customer service to students, faculty and staff; address concerns.
• Replace stock daily.
• Assist in catering setup and delivery.
• Relate orders and messages as required.
• Enter product deliveries into inventory tracking system.
