Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is seeking a part-time Food Service Assistant to support catering, childcare meals, and event service across campus. Under the supervision of the Coordinator, Food Services, you will deliver, set up, prepare and distribute food, and help with cleaning and equipment maintenance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year in related area, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in food service or catering is preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and set up catering, buffets, and childcare meals across campus.
• Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishes and serving areas and operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Deliver orders using district vehicle as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
