Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is seeking a part-time food service worker based at the Downtown Milwaukee campus. This 43-week, in-person role runs 7:00 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, up to 19 hours per week.

Responsibilities include setting up and preparing food and beverages, cashiering, dish washing, catering support, inventory tracking, and maintaining clean and safe kitchen areas while delivering customer service to students, faculty and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 1 year related experience.
• Experience in food service and customer service preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and prepare food and beverages; cashiering duties.
• Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen equipment; maintain sanitary conditions.
• Assist in catering setup and delivery of orders across district locations.
• Assist in inventory, restocking, and record-keeping at the register system.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
• Support culinary instruction and work with student workers as needed.
