Job summary

Ohio Living in Columbus is seeking a Culinary and Nutritional Service Associate I or II to provide daily food preparation and dining services for residents. You will help serve meals, assist with deliveries, and keep work areas clean and safe.

Reading, writing, and speaking English are required; on-the-job training is provided. Weekend, evening, and holiday work may be scheduled. A high school diploma is preferred; food service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food service experience a plus, not required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day culinary functions to serve meals and snacks that are palatable and appetizing in appearance that provides residents with an exceptional dining experience.
• Assists in serving meals as necessary and on-time, delivers food carts and trays to designated areas, and works in serveries.
• Ensures that culinary services work areas and equipment are maintained in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner.
• Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties as directed by supervisor (e.g., cleaning work stations, refrigerators, washing dishes, etc.).
• Assists in executing special events and participating in their planning and preparation.
• Maintains menus, distributes, collects, and counts as necessary.
• Attends meetings and in-service training as scheduled.
