Description:

The Culinary Service Cook is responsible for preparing, serving, and/or managing the preparation of foods for residents, guests, and employees. Under the guidance of the Culinary Services Director and in coordination with the interdisciplinary team, the cook aims to increase residents’ acceptance and compliance, especially among those with therapeutic diet orders. The role promotes food service standards through cost, quality, and quantity controls, ensuring meal service meets residents' preferences by offering choices and preserving personal dignity.

Qualifications:

• Desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents and understanding their unique needs
• Ability to qualify for employment after a criminal background check, according to Minnesota Department of Human Services guidelines
