Jennings in Garfield Heights, OH is seeking a CULINARY SERVICE ASSISTANT for assistant living to ensure residents receive timely, attractive, high-quality meals and snacks. This full-time role includes weekend work every other weekend and holidays, following infection control procedures, serving on the tray line, setting up trays, and assisting in food preparation.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: CULINARY SERVICE ASSISTANT - ASSISTANT LIVING

Department: Culinary

Reports to: Culinary Services Director

Weekend Hours needed -Full-Time positions available, all staff are required to work every other weekend and holiday

Position Description

Performs a variety of tasks to assure residents receive timely, attractive, high quality, satisfying food and snacks.

Essential Functions

• Follow oral directions.
• Set up trays and tables
• Serve on tray line
• Serve trays
• Bus trays
• Pour and cover beverages
• Assisting in preparing and covering food
• Clean work area
• Assist in proper care and use of kitchen equipment
• Attend in-service training programs for Food Service/Culinary staff
• Work in other Hospitality areas, such as Housekeeping and Laundry, when called upon to do so
• Observe infection control procedures related to the Culinary/Dining Services Department
• Follow Residents’ Rights policies at all times
• Understand therapeutic diets
• Follow facility safety programs
• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality
• Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner
• Assume accountability for data contained in the Staff Handbook
• Relate to residents, families, and staff in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner
• Understand and comply with the Corporate Compliance Program
