Job summary

Jennings is hiring a Dishwasher for the Brecksville location to ensure timely washing of dishes, utensils, and kitchenware for daily meal services.

You will support the culinary team, maintain hygiene, assist with light food prep, and help other hospitality areas as needed. Jennings emphasizes respect, compassion, and a mission-driven workplace with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Follow oral and written directions.
• Sort dirty silver, dishes, pots, pans and cooking utensils to be washed.
• Wash, scrub, and sanitize items using the industrial dishwasher or by hand when necessary
• Organize clean items for storage or for use
• Assisting in proper care and use of kitchen equipment
• Sweep and mop floors, empty trash, clean sinks, countertops and garbage cans to ensure hygiene standards.
• Complete dishwashing tasks in a timely manner, so items will be available for the next meal service.
• Provide Kitchen support by assisting with minor food preparation, restocking supplies, cleaning appliances, and maintaining workstations.
• Provide Serving Pantry/Dining Room support by assisting with busing tables and cleaning serving pantries following meals when needed
• Attend in-service training programs for Food Service/Culinary staff
• Work with other Hospitality areas, such as Housekeeping or Laundry when called upon to do so.
• Observe infection control procedures related to the Culinary/Dining Service Department
• Follow Residents’ Rights policies at all time
• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality
• Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner
• Assume accountability for data contained in the Staff Handbook
• Relate to residents, families, and staff in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner
• Understand and comply with the Corporate Compliance Program
• Know, understand and exemplify the Mission and Values of Jennings: Respect, Compassion, Community, Discovery of Potential and Celebration of Life
