Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of related experience in restaurants, catering, food service, or culinary instruction.
• Culinary school coursework, degree, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Previous food preparation experience required.
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods, food presentation, ingredients, and culinary trends.
• Ability to speak effectively to groups, present confidently, and communicate in a clear, organized manner.
• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Design and teach engaging cooking school classes that attract and retain an audience.
• Shop for class ingredients and supplies and assist with recipe and class preparation.
• Set up cooking school classes.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is clean, safe, and in proper working order.
• Help maintain sanitation and cleanliness across the kitchen and class areas.
• Deliver excellent customer service and use suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales.
• Explain cooking techniques, flavor profiles, ingredients, and food trends to guests clearly and engagingly.
• Continue building knowledge of products, culinary techniques, and emerging food trends.
