Job summary

Remington College in Dallas seeks a dedicated Culinary Essentials and Culinary Management Program Chair to guide the campus culinary program alongside the Campus President. You will develop curriculum and help recruit and mentor faculty while ensuring positive outcomes for the program.

The role includes teaching courses as required, organizing orientations and graduations, coordinating PAC meetings, and monitoring student attendance and attrition to maintain program quality and success.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience in culinary arts (chef, prep work, kitchen management).
• One (1) year of teaching experience.
• An associate's degree or higher in culinary arts, business, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop the curriculum for the department.
• Recruit, orient, and train faculty.
• Make hiring, firing, promotion, or related recommendations to the Campus Dean.
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment in subject areas.
• Organize student orientations and graduation ceremonies.
• Organize PAC meetings and attend them.
• Monitor attendance and attrition; control attrition for the department.
• Research and implement technological changes in the field.
• Supervise and direct the work of all employees in the academic program.
• Support the Campus Dean in achieving program objectives.
• Teach courses as required.
• Travel as required.

We're looking for a dedicated Culinary Essentials and Culinary Management Program Chair to join our Dallas Campus and assist the Campus President in leading the Campus's Culinary program.

• Helps to develop the curriculum for his or her department.
• Assists in the recruitment, orientation, and training of faculty.
• Provides suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, firing, promotion, demotion, discipline, or any other change of status for an employee under his or her direct supervision to the Campus Dean; suggestions and recommendations are given particular weight.
• Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to specific subject matter areas under his or her administrative guidance.
• Assists in organizing student orientations and graduation ceremonies and participates in such activities.
• Assists in organizing Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings in his or her department and attends such meetings.
• Monitors students' attendance and attrition.
• Controls attrition for his or her department.
• Researches and implements technological changes in his or her field.
• Supervises, coordinates, and customarily and regularly directs the work of all employees in his or her academic program.
• Provides assistance and support to the Campus Dean in the implementation of academic program objectives and for positive outcomes.
• Teaches courses as required.
• Travels as required.
• Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
