Job summary

Ohio Living is seeking a Service Manager to lead the Culinary and Nutritional Services Department within a life plan community. You will organize operations, supervise staff, ensure meal quality and sanitation, and coordinate with Nursing and Maintenance to deliver excellent resident dining experiences.

You will oversee budgeting, inventory, and compliance with federal, state, and local standards while fostering a positive, service-oriented environment for residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Three years experience in food service operations and/or hospitality management.
• Supervisory capacity in a long-term care facility preferred.
• Knowledge of dietary practices/therapy and related standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Financial management and budgetary accounting skills are required.
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, POS and diet management software.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and directs the Culinary and Nutritional Services Department and its service activities.
• Ensures timely and efficient meal service during meal times.
• Supervises and assists in preparation of all products and meals following planned menus.
• Maintains quality assurance and sanitation across departments and equipment.
• Coordinates services with Nursing, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and other departments.
• Manages budget, inventory, and records; ensures compliance with regulations.
