Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is hiring a part-time line cook to prepare high-quality dishes according to recipes and portion standards. You will start items prepared ahead of time, rotate perishables, and maintain proper temperatures while keeping the buffet stocked and presentable.

The role requires safe operation of fryers, ovens, steamers and other kitchen equipment, strong teamwork, and consistent attendance. You’ll work with a friendly, guest-focused team in a hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Self-starting individual with a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Able to communicate well with guests and teammates and pitch in as needed.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs on a continuous schedule and operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Willingness to comply with Crescent standards and attendance rules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time and manage estimated needs.
• Date, rotate and store perishables per Crescent guidelines.
• Check pars for shift use and assist in keeping buffet stocked.
• Return unused items and cover/date perishables properly.
• Help control food cost, waste, and usage per standards.
• Operate and clean listed kitchen equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
