Job summary

Archway Management is seeking a Cook in Illinois to prepare hot and cold menu items, portions, and timing for residents in a healthcare setting. You will supervise staff under the Dietary Manager, ensure sanitation, and assist with inventory and orders.

The role requires following recipes, maintaining safety standards, and flexibility in hours. Prior healthcare or restaurant experience and Serve Safe certification or plan to earn it within 90 days are requested.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or Culinary Tech graduate.
• Able to read, understand and follow recipes and production sheets.
• Serve Safe certification or able to earn within 90 days.
• Minimum of 1 year dietary (healthcare) or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion hot and cold menu items according to the menu and recipe as noted on the productions sheet counts.
• Serve resident meals at the correct meal service times.
• Cover for staff who call out due to illness.
• Ensure all food and equipment temperatures are recorded by meal.
• Daily resident and facility employee interaction to ensure residents are satisfied.
• Maintain highest sanitation standards as required by health regulations.
• Practice clean, safe work environment.
• Track inventory and inform Dietary Manager of low supplies or place orders.
• Label, wrap and date unused food items in the proper areas.
• Support facility policies and procedures.
• Manage staff clock-in and discipline in absence of Dietary Manager; conduct daily huddles.
