Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health is seeking a Chef to lead all food production for onsite meals and meetings in West LA, CA. You will develop menus, set purchase specs, and supervise staff while managing the department budget and maintaining high sanitation standards.

The role requires strong culinary skills, budget awareness, and leadership to ensure quality service and compliance with safety rules. Schedule Friday-Sunday 7am-5:30pm; compensation ranges $30-$37 hourly.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen and dining room operations during scheduled shifts.
• Ensure adherence to site policies, safety, and HACCP procedures.
• Manage day-to-day production, staffing, and scheduling.
• Maintain food quality, portioning, and timely service.
• supervise dishwashing and sanitation; monitor rotation and FIFO.
• Support menu development and ensure meals meet nutritional guidelines.
