Job summary

Alliance Hospitality Group in Los Angeles is seeking a culinary leader to support kitchen operations under the Executive Chef and General Manager. This role emphasizes hands-on cooking, quality, and a collaborative culture in an upscale casual setting.

You will train and develop hourly team members, participate in openings and private events, and ensure food safety and standards across all stations. A strong knifeskills background and ServSafe certification are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Sous Chef or comparable culinary leadership experience in an upscale casual restaurant.
• 5+ years of professional cooking experience with strong knife skills.
• ServSafe certification.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Experience with restaurant openings and private dining or banquet events is preferred.
• Culinary school education welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of daily kitchen operations with the Chef and GM.
• Ensure food quality, consistency, presentation, and execution to standards.
• Hands-on cooking and service support wherever needed.
• Follow kitchen schedules, par levels, prep lists, and opening/closing procedures.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, receiving, and kitchen organization.
• Contribute to training and development of hourly team members.
• Support private dining, events, and restaurant openings as needed.
