Job summary

Oryana Community Co-op on 10th Street is seeking a full-time Culinary Department Lead to support our Culinary team in delivering an exceptional customer experience. The role emphasizes timely service, consistent product quality, and personal customer interactions.

The successful candidate will perform Culinary duties as needed (Cook, Café Staff, Culinary Staff, Baker, Dishwasher) and maintain open availability for varied shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Prior food preparation experience in a retail or cafe setting.
• Lead who fosters a positive work environment with organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to regularly move/transport up to 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead Culinary team to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ensure timely service and consistency in product size, taste, and presentation.

Oryana is seeking candidates for a full-time Culinary Department Lead at our 10th Street store. The Culinary Lead supports the Culinary team in providing an exceptional customer experience by ensuring timely service; products that are uniform in size, taste, and consistency; and greeting and interacting with the customer in a friendly and personal way. The Culinary Lead must also be able to fulfill the responsibilities of Culinary roles (Cook, Café Staff, Culinary Staff, Baker, and Dishwasher) as needed. This year-round position requires open availability with the ability to work open, closing and weekend shifts.
