Job summary

Sur La Table in Glendale, CA is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support chefs, engage guests, and maintain a clean, well-organized kitchen during classes and events.

You will help with mise en place, prep ingredients, assist with class execution, and uphold our Guest Obsessed culture while delivering friendly, hands-on instruction.

This part-time role offers flexible hours 12–16 per week; 18+ and food-prep and retail experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year food prep or kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.

• Maintain product knowledge by staying current on products, training resources, and independent learning.
• Ensure exceptional customer experience by fostering a Guest Obsessed culture in the kitchen and on the retail floor.
• Assist chefs with class execution to drive repeat visits and positive feedback.
• Deliver class revenue goals by ensuring high enrollment, positive reviews, and guest return rates.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals, with performance measured by KPIs such as sales volume and conversion rates.
