Job summary

Hyatt in the United States is seeking a motivated individual to assist in food preparation under the guidance of experienced chefs, and to learn and apply food safety standards. You will help keep the kitchen clean, assist with plating, and contribute to menu planning and special events.

You should be a team player with strong communication skills, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and flexible to weekend/holiday shifts. English proficiency is required; Mandarin/Cantonese are a plus.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related degree programme.
• Strong passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering excellent guest experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with cultural awareness and adaptability.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and high reliability.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in English; Mandarin, Cantonese are an advantage.
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of experienced chefs.
• Learn and adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
• Help with the plating and presentation of dishes for service.
• Participate in menu planning and recipe development.
• Collaborate with team members on special events and promotions
