Arrow Senior Living in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Culinary Director to lead the dining team in a 9:00am–5:00pm, full-time role. You will ensure exceptional dining, manage portions and waste, and develop resident-focused menus using fresh ingredients.

The position requires leadership, culinary training, and strong communication skills; eligibility includes basic health prerequisites and successful background checks. Join a team that promotes from within and values residents and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Three (3) years of experience in senior housing or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, training and supervision capabilities.
• Proficient written and oral communication with management and staff.
• Completed formal culinary, food service or restaurant training or equivalent experience.
• Ability to create, modify and print Word and Excel documents.
• Able to send, receive and forward email.
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, kneel and stoop all day.
• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable with temperatures in cooking areas and walk-in freezers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Culinary department ensuring five-star service front and back of house.
• Ensure food items meet culinary standards and manage portion control and waste.
• Develop seasonal and staple menus based on resident preferences.
