Job summary

Evermore Orlando Resort is hiring a culinary cook to join our high-volume kitchen team. This role requires preparing and cooking a wide range of dishes to menu specifications, while maintaining top-quality taste, presentation, and portion control.

You will work across hot and cold stations, ensure strict sanitation, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with fellow cooks to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a resort setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience as a culinary cook in a restaurant and/or banquet environment.
• Ability to read and understand recipes, instructions and safety information in English.
• Proficient in using knives and other kitchen tools for cutting, chopping, and slicing ingredients accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Complete knowledge of hot and cold line stations.
• Prep food items and prepare cold items utilizing knives, slicers and other kitchen equipment.
• Skillfully prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes in adherence to menu specifications.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size for all food items.
• Conduct rigorous quality checks on ingredients to meet quality criteria.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff and foster a positive work environment.
• Cook and plate food using a variety of equipment including broilers, grills, stoves, fryers and ovens.
• Rotate food in walk-in coolers and freezers to minimize waste and spoilage.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Set up line stations and food trams for transport and service.
• Serve food in culinary stations while interacting with guests.
• Stock and maintain food stations.
