Job summary

Pasadena Villa- The Grove in Locust Grove, VA is seeking a Culinary Assistant to prepare and serve meals for clients in a residential behavioral health setting. You will follow dietary guidelines, maintain food safety, and keep areas clean and organized.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, ServSafe certification, and at least 1 year of culinary experience. The schedule averages 32 hours per week and offers growth opportunities through company-supported continuing education.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; trade or vocational training preferred.
• One or more years of culinary experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures clients’ dietary needs are met, including accommodations for allergies and specialized meal plans.
• Follows all food safety, food storage, health safety, food service and sanitation standards.
• Follows recipes, prepares, and serves healthy and flavorful meals to clients in a timely manner.
• Utilizes proper sanitation and safety methods for storing, preparing and serving foods.
• Ensures all food items are properly labeled and safe storage temperatures are maintained and logged.
• Collaborates with team for menu changes to accommodate client needs and special diets.
