Job summary

Vail Resorts is seeking a Culinary Assistant Manager for the Paradise Warming House, Crested Butte, CO, for Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. You will work closely with the Restaurant General Manager to lead the kitchen team, ensure food quality, and uphold safety standards.

Starting wage ranges from $57,784 to $67,267, with full-time hours and housing availability. This role emphasizes guest experience, operational efficiency, and collaboration across departments to deliver an exceptional mountain

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of restaurant experience with at least 1 year in a managerial role.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• TIPS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Serve Safe Certification required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM in daily restaurant operations, including kitchen leadership and staff management.
• Maintain food quality, safety, and sanitation per laws and policy.
• Develop menu items, station playbooks, and conduct quality checks.
• Lead daily briefings and weekly safety meetings.
• Oversee inventory and warehouse activities: ordering, stock, waste reporting.
• Address guest issues to improve GX scores and guest satisfaction.
• Support administrative tasks: budgeting, payroll, reporting, and logs.
• Collaborate with GM on vendor communications, invoices, transfers, and compliance.
