Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC is seeking a Culinary Assistant to support dining services for our residents. The role focuses on plate presentation, food service, and adherence to sanitary policies in a community setting.

You will assist with meal setup, service, and cleanup while delivering quality Platinum Service to residents, guests, and staff. Prior food service experience is preferred, and the position involves daily kitchen and dining room duties.

Qualifications

• Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Deal tactfully with residents, families, staff and visitors.
• Capable of working with elderly and emotionally upset people.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals that are palatable and visually appealing.
• Provide Platinum Service to residents, guests and staff.
• Prepare food following sanitary regulations and policies.
• Assist in daily cleaning duties and maintain a clean work area.
• Set up meal trays, carts and dining room as instructed.
• Distribute menus and assist with meal preparation for upcoming meals.
• Assist with bussing tables during and after meals.
• Check meal trays for accuracy before distribution.
• Ensure utensils and equipment required with meals are provided.
• Deliver carts and trays to designated areas.
• Assist with catering/buffet setup and refills.
• Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.
• Ensure food and supplies for next meals are available.
• Assist with food preparation as needed.
• Maintain a clean kitchen and dining areas; sweep/mop as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
