Job summary

Ebenezer is seeking a Server/Culinary Assistant at our West St Paul, MN community to provide dining room meal service for senior residents and maintain kitchenette supplies. The role supports Assisted Living and Memory Care with a schedule including 56 hours per two weeks, day/evening/night shifts, and every other weekend.

Ideal candidates have less than 1 year of experience; a High School Diploma is preferred and 1 year of experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in dining service or similar role is a plus.
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation practices is desirable.
• Ability to accommodate dietary needs and substitutions.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and keeps dining area clean and inviting.
• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
• Offers resident meal choices and accommodates dietary needs.
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Maintains dining room cleanliness and setup.

We are looking for a Server/Culinary Assistant to join our team! This role is responsible for dining room meal service to our senior residents and maintaining supplies in the kitchenettes for our Assisted Living Community in West St Paul, MN. This nutrition services schedule includes;

• 56 hours per two weeks
• Day/Evening/Night schedule
• Every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting:
• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
• Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs.
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
• Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up.
• Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
• Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
• Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction:
• Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
• Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
• Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.
