Job summary

Joint Township District Memorial Hospital is seeking a full‑time kitchen cook to support patient and cafeteria meal production. Responsibilities include planning production activities, portioning and presenting foods attractively, and maintaining portion control.

Responsibilities

• Plans production activities to ensure timely production of food to fulfill menu requirements.
• Portions/serves food neatly and attractively.
• Maintains established portion control when portioning/serving foods.
• Covers, labels, and dates all opened, prepped, or leftover food items placed in storage.
• Prepares food items according to standardized recipes; produces a quality product.
• Checks temperatures of food products to verify cooking and holding temperatures are within acceptable ranges; corrects temperature problems.
• Maintains frozen and refrigerated food storage area by assisting with storing deliveries, rotating stock, on a FIFO method, and keeping walk‑in freezer and coolers neat and orderly.
