Job summary

Glacial Ridge Health System in Glenwood, MN is seeking a full-time Cook to prepare nutritious meals for patients and staff. You’ll work weekday shifts with occasional weekend rotation, following dietary guidelines and sanitation standards.

No late nights; on-site kitchen; supportive team with opportunities for professional development. Training provided; ServSafe certification preferred. Earn hourly pay between $19.51 and $27.50 plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience preferred.
• Must be ServSafe certified or be willing to obtain certification.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to organize work to meet serving time schedules.
• Ability to learn dietary restrictions from the dietary manual.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food from menu for patients at each meal service.
• Plan and prepare additional menu items for cafeteria service.
• Consult with manager regarding menu plans.
• Assemble meal trays for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Check tray accuracy before sending to patient.
• Portion and serve foods and beverages on trays.
• Serve food to hospital guests in the cafe.
• Document temperatures for prepared food and storage areas.
• Prepare foods for special functions and baking as needed.
• Adhere to strict sanitation practices.
• Attend in-service education meetings as required.
• Perform cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Assist other cooks/team members as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities
