Job summary

Grand Lake Health System is seeking a Food Services Assistant to support meal service across patient dining, cafeteria, catering, and prescription meals. You will portion and serve items, maintain portion control, and work under the supervision of the Food Services Director.

Flexible scheduling is required to meet department needs, with casual shifts from early morning to evening and as-needed coverage per pay period.

Qualifications

• Flexible scheduling as required to meet department needs.
• Prior food service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Portion and serve food and beverage items for patients, cafeteria, catering, and prescription meals, maintaining portion control.
• Perform ware washing tasks and clean pots, pans, and utensils.
• Work under the supervision of the Food Services Director.

Job description

• Casual - 1st and 2nd shifts (5:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.) (11:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
• As needed per pay period.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

• The Food Services Assistant portions and serves food and beverage items for patients, cafeteria, catering, and prescription meals, maintaining good portion control.
• Performs all ware washing tasks and cleans pots, pans, and utensils.

Education/Certifications

• High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Previous Food Services experience or exposure preferred.
