Job summary

The Fountains at Hosanna! in Lakeville, MN is seeking a part-time Culinary Assistant to serve dining room and to-go meals to residents. Schedule includes 9 hours every two weeks, 4:00pm–7:00pm, with Week 1 Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; Week 2 no shifts.

You will follow serving procedures, offer resident meal choices, accommodate dietary needs, maintain sanitation, and support a positive dining experience. Experience in food service is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience of less than 1 year in a similar dining/serving role.
• High school diploma preferred.
• 1 year experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and keeps dining area clean and inviting.
• Offers resident meal choices and accommodates dietary needs.
• Maintains proper sanitation and dining room procedures.
• Ensures all dishes and utensils are washed and stored properly.
• Follows dining room setup and workflow to stay on task.
• Learns and uses the EMenu System and restaurant-style service.

Job Overview

The Fountains at Hosanna! is conveniently located in Lakeville, adjacent to Hosanna Church. We are less than a mile from Highway I-35 and near County 77. The Fountains offers seniors 92 Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care apartments. We are known for our exceptional staff, who create a warm, friendly, fun community.

The Culinary Assistant is responsible for dining room and to go meal service to residents.

Schedule includes;

• 9 hours every two weeks ; Part Time
• 4:00pm-7:00pm Shift
• Block Schedule:
  • Week 1: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
  • Week 2: No Shifts

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting:
  • Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
  • Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs.
  • Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
  • Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
  • Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up.
  • Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
  • Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
  • Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction:
  • Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
  • Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
  • Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.
